The Future Project is on Steam!
Alongside a new a trailer and some new screenshots!
Greetings, internet! I wanted to put a quick blog post together to inform you that The Future Project has a new Steam page available for viewing. In addition, I’ve also released several new screenshots onto the Steam page and put out a new trailer giving a better look at the game. Allow me to quickly go over all the new content:
Steam: Located here, the Steam page is where you can go to view The Future Project and wishlist it. It has all the things I’m discussing here alongside the ability to view my other games and, of course, wishlist The Future Project. This is probably something I’m going to humbly request of you for a while, and for good reason. When you wishlist a game not yet released on Steam, you’re telling the developer that you’re interested in the game and want to know when it will be available for purchase. It’s a great little morale boost for yours truly, and also gives me an idea of how many copies will be sold on release day. As for what you get out of the deal, you’ll be sent a message the moment The Future Project is released. At that point I assume you probably get very excited and eagerly make your way over to your PC to purchase, download, and play the game. While waiting on The Future Project’s release, you can also check out War Ender and Impressions. War Ender was my first commercial game, and still a pretty fun action platformer if I do say so myself. Meanwhile, Impressions is a free short story that ties directly into The Future Project’s narrative, making it the perfect game to play in preparation for The Future Project.
Trailer: Found on YouTube, Steam, and on this very website, the game’s trailer is a great way to quickly get an idea of what to expect when playing The Future Project. The trailer will do a far better job of communicating all this than text can, but in brief, The Future Project is all about exploration, discovery, and fast paced combat. During the trailer you can see the player navigating alien worlds, evading obstacles, and using various abilities to defeat enemies. You’ll see a handful of worlds I have not yet shown off, and even a first glimpse at the game’s antagonist!
Screenshots: Steam is of course the best place to view these, but I’ve also updated the page for The Future Project to include the best, up to date screenshots. They are of course the same screenshots seen on Steam. However, in future dev blogs, I’ll be posting additional new screenshots showing off areas and details not so easily noticed in the trailer, if they were shown off at all. Keep an eye out for those!
There are a lot of video games out there, so I want to thank you for giving The Future Project your time, and an extra special thanks if you’ve already wishlisted it. I will continue working on the game to make it the best it can be. The Future Project is expected to release sometime in 2022. I will be announcing a more exact date once the game is closer to completion. Until next time…
Happy gaming!
